Coffee Shop Manager – Char & Stave Coffee by Bluebird Distilling
Char & Stave Coffee, the specialty coffee + cocktail concept from Bluebird Distilling, is growing. We have locations in Ardmore and Chestnut Hill, with a third opening in Bala Cynwyd in 2026. We are hiring a full-time Coffee Shop Manager to support our current stores and help lead future locations.
The Role:
You’ll work across Ardmore and Chestnut Hill as a floating manager, overseeing daily operations, staff performance, training, scheduling, inventory, and maintaining the high standards Char & Stave is known for. This position will ultimately settle into a permanent store manager role when the new Bala Cynwyd café opens.
Responsibilities:
Support daily operations at both current cafés
Lead and train baristas + bar staff
Maintain quality standards for coffee + cocktails
Handle scheduling, staffing, and team culture
Assist with inventory and cost controls
Provide excellent hospitality and resolve customer issues
Help prepare and open the new location
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years café or restaurant management experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for coffee and cocktails
Able to work mornings, evenings, weekends as needed
Positive attitude and team-first mentality
