Ron’s Original Bar & Grille, a landmark restaurant in the heart of Chester County is accepting resumes for the position of Kitchen Manager. The right candidate will have experience in upscale casual dining, have excellent organizational skills, and have managed a sizeable kitchen during its busiest shifts. This is a hands-on management position which includes working the busiest station – sauté. The position includes managing a staff of 7 talented cooks.

Ron’s Original Bar & Grille is a family-owned business built on the foundation of healthy, from scratch food, made daily with the freshest, high-quality ingredients. Qualifications:

3 years or more of kitchen supervisory experience

Ability to teach and follow recipes and execute quality and consistency

High volume a la carte production experience

Creative and Passionate about food and working with high quality ingredients, in a scratch kitchen

Experienced at providing on the job training for employees and ability to set schedules.

Familiarity with gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan diets – a plus

Effective interpersonal skills in communicating with staff, superiors, and suppliers

Responsibilities:

Effectively manage a diverse team and lead and mentor them in accordance with Ron’s standards

Make certain that the busy sauté station is properly stocked for each shift

Cover shifts to the best of your ability as determined by the GM or owners

Accept and stock raw material deliveries and maintain proper dating and rotatation.

Keep waste of food and supplies to a minimum

Ensure that the sanitation of the BOH meets or exceeds specifications required by management and the Chester County Board of Health

Provide a positive and professional attitude toward all staff and the ability to resolve conflicts. Always encourage comradery.
