Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumber Apprentice/Journey Man to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in plumbing and construction while working on diverse projects. The role involves hands-on work at construction sites, remodeling projects, and maintenance tasks, providing valuable experience in the plumbing industry. Duties
Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively
Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
Cut, assemble, and install pipes using various techniques including threading and soldering
Support remodeling and renovation projects by performing carpentry, assembly, and general maintenance tasks
Follow safety protocols on construction sites and ensure compliance with all safety standards
Assist with HVAC systems related to plumbing components when necessary
Maintain a clean work environment and organize tools and materials efficiently
Requirements
Prior experience or training in construction plumbing, carpentry, or related fields is preferred
Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in welding, pipe threading, and use of hand tools and power tools
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods
Field service or remodeling experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
