Hill International is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania
This is a new, multi year project that will design and analyze the next generation radiological shipping container for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Must have or be able to obtain L Security Clearance.Perform engineering evaluations in support of the design, analysis, or testing of a new radiological shipping container or shipping container support equipment.
Responsibilities may include sponsoring test programs, performing elastic and elastic-plastic structural analysis, developing designs and engineering drawings, performing alignment & tolerance studies (fit-up analysis) or developing design specifications.
Should have experience with mechanical equipment design, structural analysis, or testing.
May support engineering and business activities of the Reactor Servicing organization, as needed.Must have 10+ years of experience
Minimum four year BS degree in engineering
Must have or be able to obtain L Security Clearance
Must be local or willing to relocate near project site in West Mifflin, PA. This will be a hybrid schedule.
Microsoft Office knowledge
Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, or Testing Programs experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical writing skills
