Furniture Mover / Warehouse Assistant
We are looking for a motivated and physically capable Furniture Mover / Warehouse Assistant to support our operations. This position is based in Rhode Island and requires frequent travel to job sites across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities:
Moving & Logistics: Safely and efficiently load and unload a box truck with various items, including furniture, artwork, and accessories, for transport to and from client locations or storage.
Physical Demands: Independently lift and move items weighing 50-75 pounds on a regular basis independently. Ability to TEAM lift up to 300 pounds.
Warehouse Support: Assist with general warehouse duties, including receiving, inventory organization, and preparing items for shipment or transfer.
Driving: Operate a box truck (standard driver's license only, CDL not required) to transport goods to job sites; experience driving a box truck is strongly preferred. Ability to successfully pass a DOT Physical Exam.
Customer Service: Represent the company professionally on-site.
Operational Skills: Follow precise directions, work quickly and efficiently, and apply problem-solving skills to unexpected challenges.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Proven experience moving furniture and handling fragile items.
Demonstrated ability to independently lift 50-75 pounds.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the specified New England states.
