This role is primarily responsible for handling critical inventory transactions, including material transfers, Return to Stock (RTS) processing, cycle counts, and resolving inventory discrepancies. The Material Handler Level 3 works closely with warehouse, kitting, and production teams to ensure accurate and timely management of inventory, supporting smooth operations and maintaining data integrity in the inventory system. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and proficiency with inventory management systems to ensure that materials are correctly accounted for and readily available for production and other internal needs.Roles and Responsibilities:Inventory Management & Transactions:

Material Transfers: Perform accurate and timely transfer of materials between departments or storage locations, ensuring that all transactions are properly logged in the inventory management system.

Return to Stock (RTS): Handle the RTS process for materials returning from the production line or other departments, ensuring that materials are inspected, reconciled, and correctly returned to stock.

Cycle Counting: Participate in regular cycle counting activities to verify physical inventory against system records, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and location data.

Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies, working with warehouse, quality, and production teams to determine the root cause of issues such as mismatches in material counts or misplaced stock.

Inventory Adjustments: Process adjustments to inventory when necessary, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and approved in accordance with company policies.

Inventory Integrity & Process Improvement:

Data Accuracy: Ensure that all inventory transactions are completed with accuracy and in a timely manner, minimizing discrepancies between physical and system records.

System Updates: Update inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or WMS) with all relevant transaction data, ensuring up-to-date stock information for all stakeholders.

Stock Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling inventory at the end of reporting periods or after large inventory movements, ensuring alignment between system records and physical inventory.

Error Prevention: Identify common sources of inventory errors, such as incorrect material handling or system entry issues, and propose improvements to minimize recurring problems.

Collaboration & Communication:

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse, kitting, production, and quality teams to ensure materials are transferred, stocked, and available when needed.

Internal Communication: Maintain clear communication with relevant departments about stock levels, material availability, and any ongoing inventory issues that may affect production schedules.

Reporting: Assist in preparing and delivering regular reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and cycle count results to warehouse supervisors and inventory control personnel.

Compliance & Safety:

Adherence to Procedures: Follow all standard operating procedures related to inventory transactions, material handling, and safety guidelines.

Safety Standards: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of materials and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Audit Readiness: Ensure that all inventory records and processes are audit-ready at all times, with proper documentation and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Job Qualifications:Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required. Additional technical coursework or certifications in inventory management, logistics, or warehousing is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a similar role, preferably within a tech manufacturing environment.

ERP/WMS System Proficiency: Experience using inventory management systems such as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or Warehouse Management System (WMS) is required.

Technical Skills:

Inventory Transaction Expertise: Strong knowledge of inventory transactions, such as material transfers, RTS processing, cycle counting, and discrepancy correction.

Analytical Ability: Ability to interpret inventory data, spot discrepancies, and recommend solutions to maintain stock accuracy.

Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in handling inventory transactions, data entry, and material tracking to ensure accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office tools for inventory reporting and documentation.

Soft Skills & Competencies:

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and addressing inventory discrepancies and process inefficiencies.

Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills for coordinating with various departments and reporting inventory issues.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment, providing support to warehouse staff and cross-functional teams, while managing individual responsibilities.

Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as required, stand for extended periods, and operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) if certified.

Safety Compliance: Understanding of and adherence to workplace safety regulations and best practices, particularly in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
