Job Title: Start-Up Tech Helper – Multifamily HVAC Construction

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Start-Up Tech Helper will assist in the installation, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC systems in multifamily construction projects. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in the HVAC field.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support Installation: Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment.

· Start-Up Assistance: Aid in the start-up and commissioning processes of HVAC systems, ensuring all components are operating correctly.

· System Checks: Perform basic system checks and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior technicians.

· Documentation: Help maintain accurate records of start-up activities, including system configurations and performance metrics.

· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

· Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and calibration of HVAC equipment and tools.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project team, providing support as needed to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

· Education: High school diploma or GED. Technical training or coursework in HVAC is a plus.

· Experience: Previous experience in construction or HVAC installation is beneficial but not required.

Skills:

· Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components.

· Ability to use hand and power tools.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Certifications: Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., EPA 608 certification) as needed.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment:

· Construction Sites: Work is performed primarily on construction sites, involving exposure to outdoor and indoor environments.

· Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds regularly and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and climbing.

· Safety Gear: Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

· Travel: Some local travel to job sites may be required.
