IT Business Analyst Intern - Summer 2025

This Internship is a pathway for future opportunities within Project Management. This summer you will be challenged and grow a wider knowledge about the business, processes, people, and various project management methodologies.You will also gain exposure and be able to network across all areas within Jacobs global landscape. Upon completion of the internship, you will also have a key role in developing and shaping the future of the internship program.Responsibilities

Assist in Project Planning: Help develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Coordinate Meetings: Schedule meetings, send reminders, and prepare agendas to facilitate effective communication.

Track Project Progress: Update project management software and tools to ensure milestones are met.

Documentation: Compile and organize project documentation, making sure all necessary materials are accessible.

Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.

Support Communication: Liaise with external vendors and stakeholders to maintain project alignment.

Requirement Elicitation: Gather product requirements from users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.

Business Interaction: Understand the business domain and solutions the product will provide, acting as a proxy Product Owner when necessary.

Requirement Translation: Convert requirements into functional specifications for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Agile Methodologies: Utilize Agile methodologies to participate in Agile transformation at scale.

Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to create technical solutions.

Process Assessment: Assess business process and system inefficiencies.

Outcome Focus: Drive to a successful outcome in a deadline-oriented environment, adapting to changing requests.

Qualifications

Education: Pursuing a degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), excellent communication skills, and familiarity with project management software.

Experience: Previous experience in project management or related internships can be beneficial.

Project Management and PMP Certification preferred but not required.
