The Designer/Editor conceptualizes, designs and executes the production of video content and other digital features for Freeman on topics related to the organization’s marketing strategies. The Designer/Editor also assists in the development of project scripts and outlines, giving technical feedback during the process. The Designer/Editor designs and produces high quality motion graphics to be used in Freeman videos, websites, presentations, and digital products. The Designer/Editor edits together original footage, and/or stock photos/video for Freeman videos, websites, presentations and digital products. The Designer/Editor will deliver final animations and video optimized in the format chosen for their dissemination (web, social media, large presentation screen, social media).This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team and is eligible to work a remote schedule.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create visually stunning video assets and content optimized for video/web/social media dissemination.
Collaborate with creative directors and other colleagues to best support larger media goals
Take initiative on projects to over-deliver new and innovative solutions
Create graphic templates for easy use by other team members and client teams
Adhere to brand guidelines in ways that still push creative boundaries
Assists in designing and creating storyboards and scripts.
Selects, edits, and incorporates third party content (stills, footage, music, graphics, etc.) as
needed.
Retouches, corrects, and color-grades video and photo content.
Ensures all produced material is correctly optimized for chosen dissemination (web, social media, large presentation screen, social media).
Works directly with external consultants (videographers, photographers, narrators, programmers,
voice artists, animators, translators, developers/coders), ensuring that their work matches the quality
and branding of Freeman content.
Tracks new content trends and technologies to ensure that Freeman’s output remains on the cutting edge.
Education & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with and a strong portfolio of motion graphics work
Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and common motion graphics design software, specifically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder and Illustrator required. 3-d capabilities are a plus.
A never-ending desire to learn new techniques and technology to advance your craft
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create novel solutions
Experience and/or knowledge in data visualization a plus.
Ability to synthesize and present concepts and data for a general audience using multiple forms of media (video, animation, stills, graphics, etc.)
Experience in short-form storytelling through various editorial techniques including cuts, transitions, timing and the effective use of sound and visuals to communicate
Demonstrated project management skills. Experience guiding video and multimedia projects from conception through completion.

Salary range of $65,000-80,000 based upon experience
