Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all production equipment and related machinery operate at peak performance with minimal downtime. This role performs hands-on installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, adjust, and repair production machinery and ancillary equipment
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to uphold equipment reliability
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions; replace hoses and damaged components
Conduct electrical repairs, including wiring, control panel work, and fabrication
Dismantle and reassemble machines to install or replace parts as needed
Rebuild or fabricate equipment components to restore functionality
Complete and close out work orders in the CMMS; maintain accurate logs and records
Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Operate material-handling equipment (e.g., forklift) as required
Participate in daily/weekly team meetings and training sessions
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years’ experience in repetitive manufacturing maintenance, with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of industrial machinery
Strong, methodical troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, following set guidelines
Proven reliability, punctuality, and commitment to safety regulations
Working knowledge of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Basic PLC and HMI experience is desirable
Preferred Qualifications
Formal training or certification in industrial maintenance, electronics, or a related field
Experience with CMMS platforms and preventative-maintenance planning
Forklift operator certification
Prior fabrication or welding experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working in confined spaces
Proficient use of hand and power tools for precision mechanical and electrical work
