We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and motivated individuals to join our Field Marketing Team as Door-to-Door Appointment Setters. In this role, you will walk assigned neighborhoods, introduce homeowners to Moon Valley Nurseries' landscaping services, and schedule free design consultations with our expert landscape designers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Walk pre-assigned residential areas to promote our free design consultation service.
Knock on doors and engage homeowners in natural, friendly conversation.
Identify customer needs and share relevant information about our landscaping solutions.
Set qualified appointments using a mobile scheduling app or CRM system.
Maintain accurate records of leads, appointment details, and daily progress.
Consistently meet daily and weekly goals for appointments set.
Represent Moon Valley Nurseries’ brand with integrity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal communication and conversational skills.
Ability to quickly build rapport with new people.
Active listening to identify customer interest and tailor the message.
Basic objection handling (e.g., how to respond to “I’m not interested right now”).
Time management and ability to stay on track while canvassing.
Confidence and resilience—comfortable knocking on doors and handling rejection.
Familiarity with smartphones or mobile apps for appointment entry.
Must be comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
Previous experience in canvassing, retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus—but not required.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical requirements/Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
