Starting Pay: $23/hr
Key Responsibilities
Install water, sewer, and storm drain pipes to proper line and grade.
Read plans and grade stakes; measure, cut, and align pipe.
Set manholes, inlets, valves, and appurtenances.
Prepare, bed, and backfill trenches per specs.
Inspect pipes for fit, leaks, and alignment.
Coordinate with operators and laborers for smooth installation.
Operate small tools, lasers, and grade equipment.
Follow company and OSHA trench safety standards.
Help train helpers and laborers.
Qualifications
2+ years underground utility pipe fitting experience.
Knowledge of pipe materials (PVC, ductile iron, concrete, HDPE).
Able to read blueprints and grade elevations.
Skilled with pipe lasers, levels, and measuring tools.
Physically able to work in trenches, lift 50 lbs, and work outdoors.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
OSHA 10/30 and confined space training a plus.
