Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role involves dealing with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to multitask effectively and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities: Handle full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations with precision. Manage account reconciliation and assist with month-end close processes. Employ D365 for various accounting tasks and maintain proficiency in its use. Process expense reports and keep accurate records. Ensure effective communication with customers to resolve inquiries. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required. Maintain and update customer credit applications and records. Juggle multiple tasks between accounts payable and accounts receivable. Uphold organized and accurate customer records. Utilize intermediate Excel skills for various accounting functions. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar capacity. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Experience with Month End Close activities. Knowledge of D365 financial software is essential. Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation. Experience in processing expense reports is required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. CPA certification is a plus but not a mandatory requirement. Knowledge of federal, state, and local financial regulations is necessary.
