Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor with hands-on experience using Tekmetric shop management software. This role is responsible for managing customer interactions, writing repair orders, communicating with technicians, and ensuring a smooth workflow throughout the shop.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
Greet customers, listen to concerns, and document all vehicle issues clearly.
Build trust and rapport with customers through professional, friendly communication.
Present recommended services using Tekmetric’s digital inspection tools.
Educate customers on needed repairs, maintenance intervals, and shop warranties.
Upsell additional services ethically and transparently.
Repair Order & Tekmetric Workflow
Create, edit, and manage Repair Orders (ROs) inside Tekmetric.
Review DVI (Digital Vehicle Inspections) and send them to customers.
Build accurate estimates with labor times, parts, and pricing.
Assign jobs to technicians inside Tekmetric and monitor job progress.
Track technician hours, efficiency, and job completion.
Close out invoices, collect payments, and schedule follow-up appointments.
Shop Coordination
Communicate clearly with technicians on job notes and timelines.
Prioritize and schedule work to keep the shop running efficiently.
Ensure parts are ordered on time and properly documented in Tekmetric.
Maintain a clean and organized service desk and customer waiting area.
Requirements
1–3 years experience as a Service Advisor in an auto or diesel repair shop.
Must be proficient with Tekmetric (estimates, RO management, DVIs, scheduling).
Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic automotive knowledge (gas, diesel, fleet, or heavy-duty a plus).
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Arabic) is a plus.
