Millions of times a day, CVS Health is helping people on their path to better health—from advising on prescriptions to helping manage chronic and specialty conditions.In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Retail Pharmacy FP&A, you’ll be responsible for preparing materials and analysis for monthly close, budget, forecasts, and R&Os among other analytic reporting needs. You will interact and closely partner with other the broader Retail FP&A teams, business teams, and other supporting functional areas (i.e., accounting, etc.). You and the broader team play an instrumental role in assisting the business in identifying new innovative sources of growth and support evolving CVS Retail Pharmacy strategy. Superior analytical and communication skills are important in this role, as you will be preparing materials for an executive audience

Summarize key business themes and drivers of variances to expectations assisting with the month-end close process, including preparation of supporting materials, with an ambition to improve and streamline current processes.

Develops and executes the annual financial planning and analysis (FP&A) budgeting process, working closely with key stakeholders to establish financial targets and allocate resources effectively.

Oversees the analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis by providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on financial data and trends.

Creates sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning

Analyzes the financial performance of business units, product lines, or projects, identifying areas of improvement and growth opportunities; such as pharmacy growth initiatives, new revenue streams, new reimbursement models, etc.

Establishes financial planning and analysis processes and tools, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in alignment with strategic objectives

Lead and develop a team of individuals ranging from analyst to manager, who are individual contributors.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of professional finance experience with escalating levels of responsibility

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree, i.e., Accounting, business, finance, economics, etc. and/or certification, i.e., CFA, CPA

Healthcare/Pharmacy industry work experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Experience with custom queries in relational databases (such as SQL)

Education

Bachelor’s degree.

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.40This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
