Must have NCCCO LBC Certs

Must have current medical card

Must be able to operate all three of the following cranes in an industrial construction or heavy infrastructure jobsite: Liebherr 1500, Liebherr 1300 and Kobelco 1600

Shift Information:

Current schedule is 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Additional overtime may be required

Must be willing to work weekends and night when required

Approximate 7 month duration

Project Info: The 1.21 GW Orange County Advanced Power Station (OCAPS) is a combined-cycle turbine power plant developed in Texas, US by Entergy Texas, an energy company subsidiary of Entergy. The plant is being build to meet the increasing demand for clean power across southeast Texas. Experience LevelSkilledPrimary Responsibilities and Duties Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects. Plan all lifts and take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown, operation of crane and proper use of capacity charts. Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection. Respond accordingly to both hand and verbal commands from rigger or helpers. Observe the travel of all loads and take appropriate action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property. Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators. Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.Qualifications Experience as a Crane Operator > 25 Ton Certified -NCCCO LBC operate (LIEBHERR 1500, 1300 & KOBELCO 1600) in powerplant/industrial setting is required. Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement toolsRequirementsThe person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoorweather conditions Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to accessrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb andmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds acrossconstruction/industrial site Must have required tools Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
