The Project Finance department is seeking a Vice President, Project Finance to lead tax equity and debt financing transactions for renewable energy projects.This role is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing tax equity and debt transactions and for managing a deal team that typically includes a financial analyst and junior team members. The position requires deep knowledge of the project finance market and the ability to structure and negotiate transactions that optimize sponsor economics.Responsibilities include presenting potential transactions to senior leadership for review, incorporating feedback, and advancing negotiations within approved parameters. The role also maintains relationships with key finance counterparties and keeps abreast of market trends and evolving standards.Direct experience with tax equity and debt financing for renewable energy projects is required, gained either as a project sponsor or investor. Expertise in market standards related to sizing, structuring, terms, and risk allocation is essential.The role requires strong project finance experience, including the ability to develop creative solutions to issues that arise during negotiations, excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts, and a strong interest in advancing renewable energy deployment.Responsibilities: Manage tax equity and debt financings for utility-scale renewable energy projects, from initial commercial target-setting to investor outreach, project marketing, bid analysis, counterparty selection, and negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements.Review financial models (Microsoft Excel), validate assumptions, and suggest changes to deal structures that meet investor requirements and optimize sponsor economics. Collaborate with internal teams and outside consultants to refine assumptions and provide supporting analysis for investor discussions.Analyze prospective investor bids and present findings to senior management, including evaluation of sponsor economics, transaction structure, risk allocation, and key commercial issues.Lead deal negotiations and document review, coordinating the internal deal team and due diligence process.
