Our work depends on Network Engineer Advisor joining our team to design, plan and build communications networks. Configure routers, switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols. Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements. Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies. Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process. Plans implementation of enhancements.HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT● Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, and/or data communications networks● Collaborating with ENS peers to solve complex network assignments● Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks● Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, DNS and DHCP● Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security● Provides advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems● Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases● Develops network architecture and network design documentation● Provide mentoring to staff within the ENS groupWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience● Required Technical Skills: Routing/Switching, BGP/OSPF, VPNs, Firewalls, Tunnels, DNS, DHCP● Required Skills and Abilities: Understanding of network monitoring tools and their operation● Preferred Skills: JUNOS, Silver Peak SDWAN, Aruba Wireless● Location: RemoteGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● Full-flex work week● 401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.
