Red Stag, LLC, a milk-hauling leader in the trucking industry, is seeking an experienced Lead mechanic for its new location in Harrisonburg, VA. Your role as a mechanic is crucial to our operations, ensuring the smooth running of our fleet and the safety of our drivers.
Qualifications:
Diesel Engine Experience: At least 3+ years
Valid Class C Driver's License Required - Class A a Plus!
Excellent Organizational and Diagnostic skills
Must be able to use Microsoft excel, word and outlook
ASE / Other Mechanic Certifications Preferred
Must have personal hand tools; specialty tools will be provided
Ability to Work Independently but also as a Team
Job Description:
Maintenance, servicing, and repairing of tractorsand tankers
Assist in the operation of the garage
Assist in purchasing parts, processing work orders and tracking inventory
Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Use analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues as they arise to ensure a positive outcome
Foster a positive work environment and uphold company policy and procedures
Work on diesel engines (DD15/DD13, MP8)
Repair/Replace brakes, wheel seals, electrical systems, differentials, Etc.
Conduct Safety Checks, DOT inspections
Repair Trailers, Tires, Fenders
