Learn more about Homes.com.Role Description: As a Content Writer, you’ll be a part of a dynamic, motivated team that strives to produce the best content in our industry. Through expert research, reporting and interviewing you’ll write about cities, neighborhoods, schools and parks across the country to best inform consumers who are shopping for a home. This content will help homebuyers discover communities and drive decisions on residential real estate.Responsibilities:

Research and report on cities, neighborhoods, schools and parks to write local guides and video scripts for prospective home buyers.

Conduct telephone interviews with real estate agents and others to capture an insider’s view of neighborhoods across the country.

Conduct occasional site visits to meet with member agents and neighborhood residents to gather first-hand research for local guides.

Work with editors to ensure that a consistent brand voice is delivered across all content.

Collaborate across a variety of teams including voiceover, photo, and video to produce cohesive content and ensure narratives, scripts and shot lists sync with the project’s directives.

Manage concurrent projects at a range of stages, from concept through production.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, creative writing, English, marketing or communications from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.

A track record of commitment to prior employers.

3-5 years of writing/editing experience.

Evidence of strong academic performance in college.

Experience following Associated Press Stylebook (AP Stylebook) guidelines.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality content adhering to deadlines and deliverables.

Strong research skills, including first-party telephone interviews, to develop content.

Strong editing and prooing skills.

Strong verbal and written skills.

Excellent grammar and spelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Ability to multi-task assignments through multiple stages of production.

Highly collaborative team player.
