SUMMARY: Merlin is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Manager with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape within the US Public Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive product integration and adoption, enhance market positioning, and generate demand for our partners cybersecurity solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling messaging for various audiences. This position requires candidates to be in the DC Area and within driving distance of our headquarters in Tysons, VA. Candidates are expected to work one day per week in the office. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Go-to-Market Strategy:
Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for cybersecurity products and integrations.
Work closely with technical resources to understand the product roadmap and ensure alignment with marketing strategies.
Identify key market segments and develop targeted campaigns to drive awareness and adoption.
Product Positioning & Messaging:
Create clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging that communicates the value of our offerings and partners cybersecurity products to various US Public Sector audiences, including technical buyers, decision-makers, and end-users.
Develop product positioning statements, value propositions, and key messaging frameworks.
Collaborate with the content and creative teams to produce high-quality marketing materials, including datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, and presentations.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and positioning to inform marketing strategies.
Provide actionable insights to the product management and sales teams to guide product development and sales efforts.
Sales Enablement:
Develop and deliver training materials, sales tools, and presentations to equip the sales team with the knowledge and resources they need to effectively sell cybersecurity products.
Collaborate with sales to create and refine sales playbooks, objection handling guides, and customer-facing collateral.
Support the sales team during customer engagements, including participating in customer calls and meetings as needed.
Demand Generation & Campaign Management:
Collaborate with the marketing and partner team to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive leads and accelerate the sales pipeline.
Develop content for webinars, email campaigns, digital advertising, and social media to promote cybersecurity products.
Track and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or computer science
Minimum of 5 years’ marketing experience with at least 1-2 years B2G
Relevant industry experience is a significant plus
