Diamond Technology Innovations is currently seeking an energetic individual committed to representing the company in a positive manner as a full-time Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist. The Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining machined components to produce high quality precision parts. You will work with various materials, including metals and plastics, to produce machined components according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will be involved in maintaining equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring the efficient production of parts with high accuracy and minimal waste. The candidate should have strong abilities to work alone, as well as part of a team, and should have a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Our work environment is fast-paced and requires team members to have technical aptitude, be able to learn quickly, and have organizational skills but, most importantly, to have a positive attitude and enjoy their job and their peers.
GENERAL DUTIES
Program, setup and run Swiss CNC Screw machines to maintain high quality tight tolerance machined parts.
Monitor multiple Swiss CNC machines in production.
Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's guidelines.
Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement of the company.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be methodical with reading and programming NC code.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
Good mechanical skills.
Must be punctual, positive minded & work well with others.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Strong leadership potential.
Skilled communicator with the ability to work well in a highly motivated team environment.
Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Prior experience in ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100 certification environments would be a plus.
2- years technical degree (or apprenticeship certificate) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up and operating multi-Axis Swiss CNC Lathes
