Our client, a well-established newspaper publisher, is recruiting for a skilled Press Operator to join their production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes in the fast-paced world of print media, ensuring that newspapers are produced accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
As a Press Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses to deliver high-quality print runs. You’ll play a key role in keeping the presses running smoothly and meeting tight deadlines that keep the news flowing to the community.
What you get to do:
Responsible for the entire process from plates to final printing with all associated duties
Preparation, operation and routine maintenance of the printing equipment
What you need to be successful:
Previous experience as a press operator (newspaper or commercial printing preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Willingness to work assigned shifts and adapt to the processes that are a part of the production of newspapers and printed products
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 4:00PM to 1:00AM
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 (DOE)
