Job description
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, air systems and electrical systems.
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as brakes, suspension systems, and exhaust systems.
- Perform federal DOT annual inspections.
- Perform minor to major engine repairs.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of diesel engines and heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues (e.g.: Cummins Insite, J-Pro).
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Knowledge of drivetrain, air system, suspension system components.

For a candidate to be considered for the position, the following will be required:
- valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not necessary).
