Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our stone and solid surface countertop manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality handling of stone slabs and materials throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience operating overhead remote cranes (3-ton and 5-ton capacity) and a strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate 3-ton and 5-ton overhead remote cranes to move stone slabs and materials within the facility.

Load and unload trucks, stage materials for fabrication, and transport finished products to designated areas.

Inspect materials for defects or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

Assist with inventory control by tracking material movement and reporting discrepancies.

Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.

Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate material handling.

Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs promptly.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

1+ years of experience in material handling, preferably in a stone or heavy manufacturing environment.

Proven experience operating overhead remote cranes (3-ton and 5-ton).

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials safely with cranes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Forklift certification is a plus.

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and follow safety procedures.
