Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Patient Service Representative in the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This role involves interacting with patients at various stages of their treatment journey, ensuring accurate patient registration, and maintaining optimal clinic operations.Responsibilities: Ensure effective interaction with patients throughout their treatment journey. Accurately check patients into the EHR system following set protocols. Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic schedule. Ensure necessary patient documentation is within the patient chart by reviewing future clinic schedules. Order Sleep Study devices and upload sleep study reports into the system. Provide overflow coverage to the call center as necessary. Ensure appropriate opening and closing of the clinic following established guidelines. Handle documentation appropriately, receive patient payments as per insurance guidelines, and work with clinic team members to maintain the daily schedule. Order medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as per established protocol. Utilize skills in CRM, EHR SYSTEM, McKesson, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Cash Activity, and Claim Administration.The successful candidate will have prior experience in a medical setting, proven ability to manage time independently, and a strong customer service focus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Electronic Health Records is also required. Requirements Must have at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in a patient service role Proficient in using CRM systems to manage patient data and relationships Experience with EHR SYSTEMS and familiarity with McKesson is highly desirable Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data management and reporting Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions within a healthcare setting Ability to handle Cash Activity and administer claims as part of Claim Administration Excellent Complaint Handling skills, with a focus on resolving patient issues promptly and effectively Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with different stakeholders High level of empathy and understanding towards patients' needs and concerns Commitment to continuous learning and upskilling in the healthcare industry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage high-stress situations effectively High level of professionalism and adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.
