As a Pawn Broker, you will be responsible for assisting customers in pawning or selling merchandise, evaluating items for loan value, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Computer sales knowledge is preferred but we will train.
Responsibilities
- Stock, display, and price merchandise in the store
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate loan values and pricing
- Communicate effectively with customers in English and potentially other languages
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Upsell products to customers to maximize sales opportunities
- Evaluate items brought in by customers for pawn or sale
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Qualifications
- Proficiency in basic math for accurate calculations
- Strong sales and upselling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; multilingual skills are a plus
- Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with operating a cash register
