Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is ideal for applicants looking to get into the accounting and tax preparation field, working with a diverse client base on tax returns and other accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing individual, business, and not-for-profit tax returns, with the long-term goal of completing entire returns.
Review documentation provided and communicate with clients regarding necessary information to ensure proper reporting and preparation of tax returns.
Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met during peak tax season.
Support the firm’s ongoing efforts in providing exceptional service and maintaining client relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience. Current enrollment in college courses with the intent to attain a Bachelor's degree in those fields is also acceptable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, whether working with colleagues or clients.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
CPA or CPA candidate is favorable but not required.
