Normal Work Hours and Days:

On site for all camp set-ups and demos. Rotational schedule, working 12 hour days for 7 days a week. Mandatory overtime based on seasonal workload and work settings.

Summary:

Perform the set-up and tear down of Modular Man Camps primarily in the Prudhoe Bay area (North Slope). Process includes good communication with heavy equipment operators and truck drivers verbally and by proper hand signals to accurately place buildings. Buildings will be draft/ weather sealed interior and exterior followed by the connection of power cords, water and sewer lines.

This position will also include the remodel and refurbishing of older and damaged units. Task may include replacing windows and doors, installing kitchen cabinets, creating wood structures, repairing roofs and floors, coordinating laborers, and doing demolition work.

Essential Functions:

Able to communicate with hand signals with operators, cranes and truckers.

Ability in rough framing and interior finish carpentry.

Repair, install and replace plumbing such as PEX, PVC, and ABS.

Able to install room furnishings and cabinets.

Perform a variety of facility preventative maintenance tasks and component replacements.

Work on assigned projects and make appropriate decisions based on work experience and individual skill. Notify

supervisors of repair problems beyond personal scope of authority.

Inspect and maintain assigned equipment such as generators and water holding units.

Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts, and order parts as needed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing work.

Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with fellow workers and clients.

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Ability to perform physical labor in harsh winter conditions.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and manipulate up to 100lbs.

Ability to work comfortably at heights and in small spaces.

Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.

Skilled in problem solving everyday work-related challenges.
