Fire Protection Designer 10+ years

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Designer who will support the team in providing our clients with: life safety code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant rated construction analysis; automatic suppression system design and analysis; fire detection, alarm and communication system design and analysis; smoke control system design and special inspections; site inspections and witnessing of life safety system testing; fire hazard analysis; performance-based design; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts. The Anchorage Fire Protection Engineering department collectively has 45+ years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering across our department of five, all of whom will provide the successful candidate with training, mentorship, and support to help grow your career. We enjoy working together collaboratively in the office and supporting each other to deliver engineering solutions that make the world a safer place. The successful candidate will also provide assistance and engineering support in the development and modification of engineering documents and may serve as the lead Designer responsible for assigning computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) work.
