Job DescriptionResponsible for expediting of project materials. Provide continuous insight into supplier’s progress towards meeting purchase order requirements, particularly around delivery schedules. Procurement Expeditor may also perform a variety of other functions as required to support procurement activities for assigned projects.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Procurement:
Expedite assigned purchase orders to ensure materials will meet ship date as stated on Purchase Order
Report status of material deliveries through comments on Material Status Report (MSR)
Book, track, and maintain on-time delivery of goods between vendors and warehouses to final destination for north slope projects.
Work with NW Quality / SQS on all materials that require inspection to ensure SQS complete prior to material shipment
Issue supplier Inspection Release Certificate (IRC)
Attend weekly procurement meeting for assigned projects
Assist COPA in acquiring transportation rates or services.
Coordinate truckable module movements with COPA Logistics Professionals, fabrication shop, and construction
Include the COPA Logistics Professionals in all logistics decisions with the exception of LTL freight movements.
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers.
Ensure carrier’s compliance with our company policies/procedures for transit/deliver.
Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistic systems or process.
Ensure that material is properly stored and maintained, and that proper care and maintenance of material is documented.
Ensure Purchase Orders packaging / handling requirements are met for materials procured.
Perform shop visits as necessary for actual status and progress.
Communicate to procurement specialist any materials that will not meet project schedule
Present options on late materials to meet project schedule, i.e. expediting shipping methods, partial shipments
Evaluate facts regarding expediting-related problem areas, determine the most appropriate remedial actions and implement such actions through available means.
Monitor project performance to facilitate early identification and resolution of potential expediting related problems, changes, disputes and claims.

Develop and provide accurate and timely work product for the BP Core Project Program.

Provide guidance to continually improve training methods delivered by the local teams to projects.

QualificationsRequired:
Associate degree or equivalent qualification/experience in engineering procurement with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Vendor Data process and minimum of 1 year experience in material requisitioning process in oil and gas industry
Excellent customer service experience required
Advanced technical, practical and commercial experience.
Leadership and communication skills and an understanding of the need for customer focus in a project driven environment.
Guide:
Create and update requisition in the Requisition Planning module of SmartPlant Materials.
Assist engineers with creating new requisition in SmartPlant Materials
Assist buyers with creating new purchase order in SmartPlant Materials.
