Dental Hygienist – Flexible Schedule (1–4 Days/Week)

We are a small, family-oriented dental practice looking to welcome a new Dental Hygienist to our team. Our current RDH has been with us for 6 years and we’d now like to open a second chair to better serve our patients. We have some wonderful fill-ins that work here often but our hygiene schedule is demanding enough we could fully fill 2 columns.

This position offers flexibility: you can work as few as 1 day a week or up to 4 full days if you’d like. We our very flexible with time off. We encourage you to build your own schedule (days, start times and end times) We value our employees being not only a part of our family, but having time with theirs.

Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and vital signs monitoring.

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while adhering to aseptic techniques.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.

Assist dentists with chairside procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.

Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Utilize dental terminology effectively during patient interactions and documentation review.

Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.

Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in Dentrix

Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and understanding of medical terminology is essential.

Strong foundation in anatomy knowledge, infection control measures, and documentation review processes.
