Take 2 Dental Implant Studio is seeking an experienced, long-term dental assistant to join our growing practice. Our assistant of nearly 40 years is retiring soon, and we are seeking a replacement to begin training immediately. This position is not for new/aspiring dental assistants. This is a Lead assistant role and we are looking for the “best of the best” with mature and professional attitudes and compensation will reflect this.

Who we are: Take 2 Dental Implant Studio is Alaska’s first and only dental practice focused solely on immediate-load full-arch dental implant procedures (“Teeth in a day”). We are also Alaska’s most trusted and BEST place to have this procedure completed! Why?

Board Certified, Dental Implantologist with LOTS of experience with large complex cases. We do the hardest implant cases in Alaska.

In House laboratory, creating the finest full arch restorations in The state.

Our practice is solely focused on the “teeth in a day” procedure, which means our patients get the most streamlined and quality experience possible.

We have a 100% satisfaction rate from our patients and we have the videos to prove it!

A positive and healthy “team-focused” learning environment for our small team of employees

TRULY “life-changing” dentistry. I know everyone says that, but this is the real deal. There are tears, hugs and LOTS of love from our patients for what we do for them on nearly every… single …case.

The Take 2 team is here for the joy of what we get to do for our patients. Profit comes second to service. We do charity cases often and we NEVER finish a case until the patient is happy and absolutely stoked about their new smile.

We do things THE RIGHT WAY. We do not cut corners. Our goal is to deliver a smile that will last a lifetime and we build in extra protections to help with this.

We strive to create the most fun, relaxed and most importantly POSITIVE environment possible.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has over 5 years in dentistry and has experience with:

Sedation dentistry and airway management

Complex crown and bridge cases

Mastership in denture fabrication and delivery process

Chairside oral surgery experience

Experience with dental implants

Front office and case presentation (sales) experience. Knows practice management software and can take payment. Cases are expensive and usually all out of pocket. We are not in network.

Motivational interviewing skills, personality typing.

Creating systems for delivery of care

Supply inventory management

Sterilization procedures

Sterile field setup and teardown

HR experience and management of dental team members

Tolerance for long surgical cases (all day cases).

Social media skills are definitely a plus if possible but not required.

In essence, we need someone who could manage a dental practice but isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with assisting in major surgical procedures and prosthetics. Having the above skills are ideal, however we can train for many of these things for someone with a good aptitude/attitude. The absolutely MUST HAVES for this position are:

Self-starter : We are looking for a LEAD dental assistant who can run the show. You will be supported by a 5 star team and manager.

Positive Attitude: Someone who is still excited about dentistry and delivering life-changing care. We are all this way and don’t want anyone who isn’t like us. Leave the drama and jaded attitudes at home.

Reliability: Our surgery day is $60,000. There are no “sick days” or family emergencies.

10/10 work ethic

Long Term: This is a growing organization that is on track to scale and develop multiple locations, we want a founding team member who wants to be part of this growth and is willing to put in the work. Please do not apply if you are not a long-term Alaskan or bounces between jobs. Our ideal candidate will be currently employed for at least 5 years in the same place.

“Blue collar” attitudes: We are very “off the cuff”. We listen to rock music during surgery, tell jokes, and while we are serious about our work, we don’t take life too seriously! We want a fun team member for the long term. If you are offended easily or have thin skin, please do not apply.

NO ENTITLEMENT ATTITUDES. We work hard and dedicate ourselves to the brand and its growth.

Flexible work schedule. Right now we are open 3 days a week but will be adding a day soon and want someone who is flexible with the growth of the company.

Sound like we are asking for Diamonds? We are! But we also know what we have, and that this is the most fun you can have in dentistry. Our work is very rewarding. Our patients come here because they know we are the best at what we do, and we are changing lives every day.

Benefits:

Top tier hourly pay, Holiday pay, paid vacation

8+ weeks of breaks

401 K

Medical

Dental

Training and travel

High level of Autonomy

Respect

All the Feels…every day : ) We have the best job in the world and the most appreciative patients.
