Position Summary: Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, while enforcing company policies and practices.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Job Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain employee benefits administration to include ACA reporting, claim resolution, change reporting, reconciling and approving invoices for payment, educate employees on plans

Administer and generate all new hire orientation and paperwork

Process all employee separations

Update and maintain all MTNT position descriptions

Process performance appraisals

Provide employment verifications as needed

Lead corrective action training and guidance

Respond to a variety of employee inquiries on a regular basis

Administer Workers Compensation, FMLA, and COBRA claims

Administer paperwork for the company’s 401(k) Plan

Maintain and utilizes HRIS system

Maintain Employee Resource Drive and Personnel files

Ensure compliance with all federal and state HR regulations

Complete annual HR reporting to include but not limited to EEO-1, Vets-4212 and OSHA

Work with executive management team to develop employee performance/incentive programs

Assist in administering, developing, and implementing personnel polices

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and three years HR experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience

Working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to employment, labor and general HR practices

Prior experience administering employee benefits

Prior experience working for Alaska Native Corporation or small business is strongly preferred

Experience in Cost Point Software preferred

Experience with SharePoint preferred
