Job Opportunities:

Administrative Assistant in Wasilla with the WIC Program. Full time position available to provide exceptional customer service and accurate and timely staff support. Responsibilities include welcoming clients, answer and direct communications, input client data, providing staff support and general office duties. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of successful work experience including proficiency with computers.

Case Manager in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Part time position available to provide case management and therapeutic behavioral health services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness or substance abuse in an effort to improve their quality of life and maintain the highest possible ability to function within the community. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one-year experience in social services or a closely related field. Must be eligible to enroll or currently enrolled as a provider in Alaska Medicaid and receive an NPI number.

Case Manager in Wasilla for the Family Support and Preservation Program. Full time position available to provide family contact and/or support for families with children in state custody or through court ordered visitation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology or related field and one-year successful experience in family issues including parenting support, parent education, child development, child management, child abuse including sexual abuse and neglect, crisis intervention and/or domestic violence.

Case Worker in Wasilla for the Work Services Program. Full time position available to provide comprehensive assessment and planning services to ATAP clients to support family self-sufficiency goals. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of successful work experience in social services or customer service field.

Eligibility/Provider Technician in Anchorage or Wasilla with the Child Care Assistance Program. Full time position available to include scheduling and conducting parent interviews for program eligibility, determining subsidy level and eligible/available funds. Create and maintain accurate and timely files for clients and/or providers. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of successful work experience in a related field.

Family Advocate in Wasilla for the Family Support and Preservation Program. Full time position available to provide parent coaching and feedback. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in education, social work, sociology or related field. One-year successful experience in family issues including; parenting support, parent education, child development, child management, child abuse including sexual abuse and neglect, crisis intervention and/or domestic violence.

Program Supervisor in Anchorage with the Child Care Assistance Program. Full time position available with benefits. Responsibilities include staff supervision and coordinating services to insure compliance with State of Alaska and AFS standards. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field. Two years of social services administrative experience with experience in social service program assessment and planning.

Shelter Supervisor in Palmer for the DVSA Shelter. Full time position available to assist with the supervision of emergency shelter staff and ensuring the effective execution of domestic violence and sexual assault services to shelter residents and nonresidents, including the 24-hour crisis line. Develop, implement, and supervise life skills and support groups. Create and manage case plans that are responsive to the needs of all shelter participants. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field and one-year successful work experience in a residential setting and one year case management experience.

Substance Use Counselor in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Full time position available to provide substance use treatment services in an outpatient program. Minimum Qualifications: High school equivalency and one-year full time work experience in chemical dependency treatment, or a degree in a related field (human services, social services, social work, addiction, psychiatric nursing or psychology) and one year of full time work experience in chemical dependency treatment. Must possess the ability to become a Qualified Addictions Professional within three years (achieve a minimum certification as a CDCII, BHAII or NCACI). Must be eligible to enroll as a provider in Alaska Medicaid.
