Well established Anchorage-based construction company is looking for a dynamic person to fill in for our current Office Manager. This person will report directly to and work closely with the company owner. Looking for a fun, hardworking, upbeat personality with the ability to work independently as well as be a team player.
Responsibilities would include:
Maintain daily accounting activity including invoicing, billings, A/R and A/P.
Maintain monthly cash reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
Cash management and forecasting.
Assist management in preparation of accounting reports for review by job and overall company financials.
Processing and submitting of payroll (certified payroll).
Payroll tax payments including quarterly and yearly tax reports and end of year reporting to Tax Accountant.
All in-house HR functions including overseeing the following programs: Medical insurance, 401(K), personnel
policy manual, and personnel files.
General cleaning and organizing
Skills would include:
Experience with QuickBooks
Experience working with MS Office products with emphasis in Excel
An understanding or background in accounting principles
Must be a self-starter, adapt quickly, and work independently
Organized and detail oriented
Team player within a fast paced environment
Hard-working and honest
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management is preferred
