The Alaska Operating Engineers/Employers Training Trust will be accepting resumes for a full time Mechanic/ Instructor position in Fairbanks.
from September 1st to September 15th, 2024.
The position includes but is not limited to:
- Maintain and operate equipment.
- Budget management
- Research quotes on equipment/work needed.
- Reporting all expenses to main office
- Teaching classes (not limited to):
DOT Brake Inspection
Diesel Engines / Drivetrain
Power Shift Transmissions
Electrical
Brakes
Hydraulics
Service Oiling
Field Maintenance
Safety Classes
- Travel to Palmer for Staff meetings, classes, orientations, etc.
- Occasional out of state travel.
Pre-requisites:
Must be a current 302 member in good standing.
Former apprentice from the AOEETT program - preferred.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
No felonies/no DUl's in the last 3 years/overall clean driving record.
Excellent communication skills, (written and verbal).
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Work experience that includes summer and winter construction work (preferred).
Instructing and training experience - preferred.
3 years MSHA experience.
