The State of Alaska DOT construction department is now accepting applications for the upcoming summer construction season. Open recruitment is for permanent seasonal entry level engineer technicians, temporary college interns and also hiring for temporary summer laborer/flaggers.

Engineer Technicians
Must pass math test prior to interviewing (math tests will be scheduled on demand)
Must have a valid Alaska driver's license
Permanent seasonal employees

College Interns (Applications due to Local 71)
Must be pursuing an Engineering Degree
Sophomore standing by Summer 2024
Cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher
Must have a valid Alaska driver's license
Flaggers (on-going):
Must have a valid Alaska driver's license
Must have a valid flagger card (certification can be done online, ask us how!)
Projects in the Northern Region often entail remote job assignments and overtime hours. Applicants must be willing and able to work on remote projects, work overtime and holidays when required.
