Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense and Space (BDS), Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program is currently hiring in Fort Greely, Alaska (FGA) for a Quality Production Manager.This position will supervise employees supporting the technical activities in the area of product quality. They will also be overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures in support of daily operational responsibilities in FGA. Provides coaching on the Quality System and guidance for processes and technical approaches. Supervises employees supporting the technical activities in the area of product quality
Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures in support of daily operational responsibilities
Provides coaching on the Quality System
Provides guidance for processes and technical approaches
Develops and maintains relationships within operational guidelines with peers, direct reports and internal customers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Shift: This position is for 1st shiftSecurity Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 5 years Quality Experience
More than 5 years experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment
More than 3 years of experience managing or leading a team
More than 5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Experience in a role that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to translate technical detail into commercially viable recommendations
More than 3 years of experience in a previous role where meticulous attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and quality was paramount
More than 5 years of experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an operations environment
Self-starter with strong time management skills
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or STEM field
Experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership
Shows ability to fill-in for team members and moves the project/team forward when required
Lead Quality Audit Certification, AS9100 Preferred
More than 3 years experience in a FOD sensitive environment
Relocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
