You are the mastermind who makes every tour depart on time with the right guide, captain, crew, bus, and equipment—every single day. Working from our Juneau nerve center, you’ll build and adjust real-time schedules for drivers, guides, boat captains, deckhands, and support staff across Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Sitka, ensuring thousands of guests move seamlessly from cruise ships to whales, glaciers, rafts, and salmon bakes. If you live for puzzles, thrive under pressure, and love turning chaos into clockwork, this is your Alaska command post.

Key Responsibilities

Build daily dispatch schedules for 100+ drivers, guides, captains, and crew members

Coordinate real-time adjustments for weather, ship delays, or last-minute bookings

Match the right staff and vehicles to each tour based on certifications, skills, and availability

Communicate changes instantly via radio, phone, and scheduling software

Track and resolve logistical conflicts (double-bookings, maintenance issues, tide windows)

Work closely with Transportation Manager, Operations Managers, and Front Desk teams

Monitor tour manifest accuracy and ensure proper guide/crew briefings

Maintain detailed records of schedules, changes, and staffing compliance

Assist with pre-season planning and post-season reporting

Requirements

3+ years in logistics, dispatch, scheduling, or tour operations (cruise or adventure travel experience a big plus)

Proven ability to juggle hundreds of moving pieces without dropping one

Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and scheduling software (we’ll train on ours)

Calm under pressure—Alaska weather and cruise ships wait for no one

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Detail-obsessed with a big-picture mindset

Available for early mornings, late afternoons, and occasional weekend shifts

Valid driver’s license and clean record

What We Offer

Competitive seasonal wage $19+/hr DOE + performance bonus

Scheduled days off to hike, kayak, fish, or chase the midnight sun

Free or deeply discounted staff tours (whale watching, rafting, jeep tours, etc.)

The best “office view” in America—right on the Gastineau Channel
