Utilizes quality data to formulate and implement education plans. Functions in the role of registrar and medical assistant. Lead will be responsible for duties assigned by urgent care manager.Responsibilities:

Responsible for the education and support to MA and registration staff

Coordinates new employee department orientation for all registration staff. Communicates plan with department supervisor.

Performs initial and ongoing educational needs assessment for all MA and registration staff.

Provides coaching and education to MA and/or registration staff based upon individual quality results and changes in registration requirement and/or platform.

Administrative support

Manages department statistic reports compile data, creates report and communicate with clinic leaders

Manages clinic inventory printed forms, business cards, referral information, marketing materials

Provides support as requested to Medical Director, Site Director and clinical manager

Performs Registration duties

Creates a positive first impression by greeting all patients and visitors

Obtains accurate and complete patient information for the registration process. Meets department goal for registrationaccuracy.

MA Leadership development

Mentor back office staff and provide constructive feedback

Assist with lab training with point of care coordinator from CRMC

QualificationsMinimum:Experience and Education:

One (1) year experience as a front and back office MA in a family practice or urgent care setting.

One (1) year experience in prior authorization, precertification and/or insurance benefits, and how they apply to hospital registration or Medical office setting

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program

Certifications:American Heart Association BLSSpecial Skills:

Computer knowledge, proficiency with software applications and typing skills.Familiarity with medical terminology.

Prior authorization, pre-certification, and insurance benefits knowledge. Ability to determine and communicate patient financial responsibilities
