3+ years of recent back-office medical assistant experience required
Cardiology experience highly preferred
Specialty experience required
Medical Assistant diploma or certificate required
High school diploma or GED required
Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant
Greet and room patients
Perform patient intake and enter information into EMR system
Perform blood draws
Help provider with procedures and injections
Obtain procedure prior authorizations
Answer phones
Schedule appointments and procedures
Perform prescription refills
