Description We are seeking an Indirect Tax Lead in Accounting/Finance to join our team in Mesa, Arizona. This role involves managing a range of indirect taxes, ensuring compliance and actively participating in finance and company-wide projects. The Indirect Tax Lead will also be responsible for reviewing the taxability of products and services, managing complex indirect tax audits, and improving end-to-end indirect tax compliance processes.Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of various indirect taxes including sales, use, motor fuel, and agronomy taxes. Conduct independent research to resolve indirect tax questions from internal departments and external tax jurisdictions. Handle inquiries and resolve notices/assessments from taxing jurisdictions and regulatory agencies. Review and oversee the indirect tax compliance prepared by external providers. Conduct internal audits of purchase transactions to ensure sales and use tax accuracy and identify refund opportunities. Review taxability of the products and services offered by the company, ensuring compliance with tax statutes and regulations. Develop, improve, and streamline end-to-end indirect tax compliance processes. Participate as the Indirect Tax subject matter expert in various Finance and Company-Wide projects. Consult and provide advice to internal personnel, business units, corporate development finance shared services on acquisitions, divestitures, and expansion projects. Review licensing requirements and complete applications and renewals. Requirements Possess strong customer service skills Proven sales experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Prior experience in training and developing staff Ability to conduct thorough research Committed to maintaining high quality standards Experience in reviewing financial documents Knowledge of finance and auditing principles Familiar with medical coverage and benefit functions Understanding of regulations and compliance in finance and tax accounting Excellent communication skills Experience in tax accounting and use of RIA Checkpoint Ability to ensure compliance with internal and external policies Familiarity with licensing procedures Proficiency in cost analysis Experience in streamlining financial processes Ability to manage refund requests efficiently Knowledge of statistical analysis Open to onsite work Experience with the software 'About Time'.
