Job Overview:As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in effectively managing and operating the community to enhance the property value and resident experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives, financial operations, vendor management, and building positive relationships with residents and vendors.Compensation: $70k+ annually, depending on experienceFirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.Your Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager in managing the business affairs of the community and ensuring compliance with governing documents and policies

Collaborate with the General Manager and Board of Directors to establish and execute strategic initiatives for the community

Oversee the community's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and monitoring of expenses and revenue

Coordinate and supervise community maintenance activities, ensuring proper upkeep of the property, common areas, and amenities

Support vendor management, including contract negotiations, monitoring of service quality, and compliance with terms and conditions

Collaborate with the General Manager to address resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests, ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction

Assist in planning and organizing Board meetings, annual membership meetings, and other community events

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as community association governing documents and policies

Foster positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff, promoting a sense of community and teamwork

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to community management.

Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members

Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, capable of addressing issues proactively

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Adaptable and flexible, capable of adjusting to changing demands and priorities

Demonstrates a proactive mindset in identifying and addressing issues before they escalate

Education and Experience:

CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) certification is a plus

Additional education and certifications in property management or related disciplines are desirable

Physical Requirements:

Sit or stand for extended periods of time in an office environment

Able to safely lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds

Supervisory Responsibility: YesWork Location : Phoenix, AZWork Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p with some evenings and weekends as neededWhat We Offer:
