Requires ability to interact with all levels of personnel. Must meet deadlines, work well under pressure and with minimal supervision. Must have extensive knowledge of contacts, compliance, state regulations and collections procedures. The position will also participate in the review of all client accounts that are delinquent in reimbursement. All employees are responsible for (1) supporting the Company’s goals and mission, (2) for following all Company policies and procedures, (3) for providing quality customer service, and (4) for following safety standards in performing all aspects of the functions below, reporting/removing unsafe equipment and attending safety education sessions.CORE FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the collection of all client accounts. Ensures all client payments and adjustments are prepared and posted in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and performance goals. Participates as an active member on the monthly Client Reserves committee.

Responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting all delinquent accounts. Prepares data on grievances and attorney requests to assist management in settlement preparation. Contact necessary parties by telephone, fax or letter for status on payment on accounts and/or negotiating prompt payment agreements.

Responsible for the verification of credit and licensing of all potential clients. Works with Sales and Marketing on terms for high risk accounts.

Ensures all client correspondence is researched, resolved and responded to in a timely accurate and professional manner as defined in departmental policies and procedures. Assists and meets with Client accounts as necessary to facilitate resolution to outstanding payment issues requiring higher level intervention.

Ensures that internal audits and quality controls are in place in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, generally accepted account receivable practices and all applicable laws and regulations. Interpret and resolve written and phone correspondence involving bill transfers, adjustments, credit balances and refunds to facilitate prompt and accurate payment.

Directs, manages and leads any special projects as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Extensive analytical skills, writing, math, stress, organizational skills, phone etiquette.

Reading, analytical skills, phone etiquette and ability to professionally interface with clients and outside credit agencies, research.

Requires good analytical skills and verbal and written professional etiquette.

Written and verbal communication, math, stress, organizational skills, phone etiquette, analytical skills and ability to professionally interface with physicians, managers and front line employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree or equivalent work experience in an Accounts Receivable department.

Excellent telephone, written and verbal skills.

Medical terminology and an understanding of the law as it relates to confidentiality, credit and collections is necessary. The ability to demonstrate leadership qualities is required.

Must be able to interface with difficult clients.

Requires excellent organizational skills.

Must work independently with minimal supervision.

Previous client collections experience preferred.
