We are looking for a homestay coordinator for international college students.
You completely control your schedule by working out of home as full remote basis.
We offer international students (mainly from Japan) coming to the Arizona State University the housing option of staying with an American Host Family instead of staying in the dormitory or an apartment. We have had nationwide operations for 29 years as an international educational consulting firm. As the Homestay Coordinator your position would require you to be the liaison with host families and 1) to interview potential Host Families and qualify them. You would also be responsible 2) to match the students applying for Homestay with the Host Families you have qualified. The most important duty is 3) making sure student’s stay with the host families go well throughout the stay.
It is almost essential that the coordinator live within about 30 minutes of the Arizona State University Tempe main campus, and we like to hire somebody with very flexible schedule during weekends as well.
Your compensation will be part-time basis, but it will be attractive based on time you need to consume for this position. The most part of compensation comes from the stated 3) in the above. When all goes well, you do not need to spend any time but of course when you match students, you need to spend more time but probably 20 to 30 hours monthly when things go smooth, and the compensation will be approximately $12,000 annually (it may vary based number of students you deal, and month).
This position is also very flexible to fit in your schedule as you completely control your schedule. You can operate out of your home most of the time (no commuting required, only potential host family interviewed probably less than 15 per year, and greeting groups probably less than 5 times per year and new student orientations at ASU campus 4 times per year). You will make life long relationship with students and families. It is very unique and rewarding job and nothing like typical part time job.
We will advertise and promote to generate leads from families wishing to host our students. We love to have your input reaching out potential host families too.
You will be supported by our head office daily basis.
Good people skills are a plus. We also like to have somebody with great interests in other cultures. Please also let me know if you are interested in hosting our student (host family will be reimbursed $900 for every 4 weeks per student, you can host up to 4 students as long as each student has own bedroom).
