Find your place in risk and analytics on #TeamAmex.The Network and Merchant Fraud risk Policy team partners with multiple teams across the blue box including Global Merchant and Network Services, Global services group, Various capability teams AND our Merchants along with other industry stakeholders to reduce fraud. We play a pivotal role in developing Amex network policies that will ensure right parties are held accountable for fraud in the ecosystem and rely heavily on reporting and data to measure progress, ensure we are working on the highest priority opportunities.The incumbent Risk Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of fraud risk management strategies to enable growth while minimizing the risk of fraud for American Express. The candidate will work closely with global teams across GMNS, Central and regional fraud risk, Operational teams, GCO, Compliance and AET to name a few.The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing network fraud risk processes and policies. Serve as Fraud SME for fraud risk evaluation on Network Policy initiatives.

Define strategies to enable effective network policies which will allow Amex to assess fraud risk in real time for emerging payment and merchant/seller onboarding payment models.

Gain and document alignment with stakeholders on policies and procedures that impact Fraud Risk Management.

Generate innovative ideas to reduce gross and net fraud and increase revenue for blue box.

Identify the new fraud patterns and strengthen the controls to prevent and minimize fraud losses.

Regularly review the portfolio MIS and conduct regular case reviews to identify opportunities and drive effective risk strategies.

As a member of the Network and Merchant Fraud Policy and Capabilities team, you will be doing the following:Description

Analyze merchant and customer level data pertaining to spend and fraud to identify areas of opportunity.

Lead control deployment in line for FRMC (Fraud risk management committee) framework.

Manage / facilitate policy alignment and policy language for published Network Policies.

Partner with Technologies and other internal stakeholders to identify requirements for new product capabilities and new policies.

Manage existing reporting and create new reporting to identify insights and assist with team prioritization.

QualificationsThese are the qualification we are looking for:

Track record of extracting key business insights from large amounts of data and assembling into a clear and compelling business case.

Ability to present complex information to groups and individuals.

Strong analytical and problem-solving experience

Demonstrated ability to influence alignment without authority, including ability to find win-win solutions with partners with range of goals.

High energy with ability to adapt to changing business priorities.

1 year of SQL, SAS, R, or equivalent data mining experience preferred.

Strong Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel, PowerPoint).

MBA or MSIM with analytical background are also considered.

Some additional skills and experience would also be helpful. These include:

Knowledge of credit card business, payments industry, and Card Acceptance polices for Issuers and Acquirers.

Experience in fraud management and/or product management.

Experience with large datasets using Big Data tools and platforms (Hive, Yellowbrick, Lumi).

QualificationsSalary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
