Responsibilities:
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing, and periodontal maintenance.
Provide laser periodontal therapy and adjunctive treatments (must be laser certified).
Take and interpret digital dental radiographs.
Conduct oral health assessments and charting, including periodontal evaluations.
Administer local anesthetic (where permitted by state law).
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Collaborate with dentists and the dental team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Maintain accurate, detailed clinical notes in Dentrix.
Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Active state license as a Dental Hygienist.
Laser certification required.
Current CPR certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Dentrix preferred.
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality care.
