We are looking for a hard-working Masking Tech to become part of our team! You will be responsible for preparing parts by cleaning and masking them for the plating process. This job is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, quality and precision focused. The desired applicant will take pride in his/her work and be able to balance quality, productivity, and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have excellent hand-eye coordination, extreme attention to detail, and a mature level of patience and focus

Be organized, able to follow procedures, and great at meeting deadlines

Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to help where and when needed

Have good communication skills and follow written and verbal instructions

If you are already a skilled masker who understands how to interpret blueprints and has experience in the aerospace industry, that's a plus! If you are bilingual (Spanish/English) also a plus but not required.

JOB DUTIES:

Efficiently and accurately mask parts in accordance to the predefined work order prior to the metal finishing process. This includes applying tape, wax, paint, or other materials to aerospace parts using various equipment and tools.

Prepare raw materials for masking including but not limited to hand wiping, blowing out holes, chemical cleaning, etc.

Reference blueprints to accurately assess masking requirements specified on the print.

Help monitor inventory levels and the request to purchase supplies and materials to meet production requirements in a timely manner

Assist in the inspection of products and notify the Production Supervisor of any non-conformances

Record masking details on the job ticket and any necessary information on the work order as required

Communicate and practice proper packaging techniques to ensure the safe transportation of parts to internal and external customers

Accurately complete daily productivity documentation to ensure on-time delivery

Always work safely and comply with all safety regulations while working with hazardous materials and chemicals

Maintain equipment and the work area in a clean and organized manner

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
