LOCATION: 3003 Apache Trials Apache Junction, AZ

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Sorter prepares, sorts, tags, and hangs donations for the sales floor and assists customers while providing exceptional customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Sort through all cloth & linen bins to obtain sellable merchandise. Follow the clothing standards such as no rips, stains, tears, or missing closures.

2. Throw all unsellable cloth into K cart trash bag. Call intake when K cart is full for outbound.

3. Tag all clothing with white tag and write size in upper right corner.

4. Hang up all clothes on rack separated by “good/better/best” and by shirt/pant/etc.

5. When all clothes are hung up, wheel rack over to a pricer to have them price the rack for you.

6. Reach out to intake if another K cart of cloth is needed in order to keep product flow moving.

7. Pull all BTQ merchandise and place on separate rack for evaluation.

8. Is able to daily perform any of the required job duties within the processing team. This includes all requirements related to accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.

9. As needed, welcome donors and customers in a timely manner in a way that they feel confident that Sunshine Acres appreciates them and understands their value.

10. As needed, handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including, greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the Sunshine Acres story, repeating details back to donor and issuing a receipt.

11. Help maintain clean and well-organized reception, pre-sort and processing areas.

12. Maintain clean and well-organized personal processing station.

13. Ability to recognize quality merchandise and effectively seek guidance on pricing from Assistant Processing Manager.

14. Always keep merchandise flowing. If you are running low on cloth, communicate to intake lead so they can bring you new cart.

15. Keep a positive attitude & work as a team to hit the softline processing goal!

16. When a K cart needs to be moved out of the way, radio to intake to come move it in or out.

17. Personal cell phone use is to be kept to an absolute minimum and must be done away from the processing floor.

18. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Must be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills.

2. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a problem solver and be able to work with a minimum of supervision and take initiative.

3. Excellent time management skills.

4. Must possess a demonstrable level of skill and proficiency in planning to meet established goals.

5. Computer skills to include general typing skills.

6. Ability to access web sites to help evaluate the value of donated items.

7. Ability to read and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

8. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior retail, production, warehouse, material handling or customer service experience preferred
